What's: BIT
A bit is the smallest memory unit of a computer. It can adopt value one or zero and the name derives from the words "binary digit". Eight bit add up to one byte (corresponding to one letter), 1024 byte are one kilobyte, 1024 kilobyte add up to a megabyte und 1024 megabyte are one gigabyte.
