What's: Touchpad
The touchpad is an alternative for the computer mouse in modern
notebook computers. It consists of a touch-sensitive, rectangular area which enables the control of the cursor by the simple touch of one finger.
Other notebook producers equip their computers with a small round joystick (diameter about 5mm) which also controls the cursor with one finger. This joystick is located between the keyboard buttons.
The touchpad is located in front of the keyboard on the notebook. Next to the mouse control, some touchpads offer additional features such as "exit program" or scrolling.
