Personal Digital Assistents are small computers in the size of the calculator. They are used to type text, send e-mails, plan dates and make notes on the way. PDAs usually posses an interface to the PC in order to transmit and adjust data quickly.

PDAs like Palm or Visor became accepted, they use the operating system PalmOS or work on basis of Microsoft's operating system WindowsCE and Windows Mobile.
