Locking my computer (Windows XP)?

« on: 10.11.06, 12:38:14 »

Hi!

is there a way to lock my computer, so that no one can use it when I am away from it? But please without shutting it down completely, Win XP takes so long to start on my PC Sad

thanks!

Hi! you could try a screen saver with a password protection: As soon as the screensaver starts, you need you password to get back to windows. I use this to secure my apple :-)

You can also try it with "Windows Key + L". Then, a login-screen appears and you cannot continue, until you login with your windows username and password. Therefore of course, you'll need to have set a password in your user settings.
