I was trying to copy pictures from Vista Photo Gallery to an SD card. After copying over 190 pictures, I started getting "Error 0x80070052" and can no longer copy pictures. There is plenty of memory space left on the SD card. What's this problem?

Please check, if you already have installed the Windows Vista update, that solves some problems with SD cards:

If that doesn't help you maybe should try to re-format the SD-Card and then try again. Do you use the card only in the computer or also in a photocamera? Then always format the card with the camera!
