Hi,
this message <windows root>\\system32\\hal.d11 appears on startup. what do i do? i can still access my computer, but i don't want it to crash or anything, so i want this sorted out.

i have Windows XP Home Edition, iv'e tried system restore, and re-load my programs back on, but message is still there, and i haven't loaded the programs back on...
please help!

Good morning,

in most of the cases the error message appears when the computer runs on high temperature. You can try to clean the fans, leave the side panel open etc.

Less frequently it can set out to be a problem with the BIOS, but I'am no expert in this case.

thanks for the help,

i actually found the problem, it was windows XP not installed properly.

so i re-installed it and it's now fixed!

but thanks anyway for your suggestion!
