To solve annoying Windows errors, you might want to try a Windows Registry Check. In most cases, optimizing the Windows registry will speed up your Windows.
Save your data with knoppix and erase the systemdrive.Then reinstall the OS again.Al other option are unsecure and have a high risk,that maleware surive.
Do you have any clue what virus it is, and do you have a real antivirus program that found it (if not download avira at www.avira.com).
Sometimes virusses cannot be erased and in that case it is a better option to make a backup of all your important data. You don't have to do that with knoppix, you can also just copy them to cd/dvd or whatever option you like most.
Don't forget to install a good virusscanner on your computer (after reinstalling)!
