To solve annoying Windows errors, you might want to try a Windows Registry Check. In most cases, optimizing the Windows registry will speed up your Windows.
I have an nVidia GTX260 and I just reinstalled the harddisk with XP. Now after I installed the official drivers of nVidia, my system starts with a resolution of 640x480 (VGA). When I choose 1920x1200, the system does not make any changes. I deinstalled the graphic card driver and installed the drivers of Gigabyte - no success. It never happened before. The card is brand new and it worked before.
I will try that - but I am not at home right now. the latest NVIDIA driver I used. My colleagues here don't know, too. Maybe I will reinstall the system. Greetings from Stuttgart,Germany
After reinstalling XP, have you also install all the drivers for your mainboard ? If not, then see at the manufactur webside for the drivers, before ! installing the nvidia driver.
