Hi, I spent several hours trying to figure out how to download my pictures on my new Vista computer. I found the answer on information for the actual camera. Go to the little menu and you'll find the option. My pictures are downloaded and shared with my friends. No software or driver updates were required. This may save others the irritation. It's so easy once you know. Thanks, Lynn

To transfer images to the computer 1. Change the camera PC Connect Mode to Disk Drive . 2. Using the USB cable, connect the camera to the computer. 3. Turn on the camera. The letters PC will appear in the status LCD to indicate that the camera is connected to the computer. At that point, the computer recognizes the camera as a disk drive. 4. Use the following procedure to access the images as files: o Windows: Double-click the icon for the newly assigned disk drive in My Computer or navigate to the drive letter in Windows Explorer.
