He's right Maxtor has been bought by Seagate.

I have the same hd as you and the model name is SeaGate DiamondMax 40 VL Ultra ATA 100, a 30 gb hd.

Unfortunatly mine has quit and no more Windows XP. Sad

Jumper Settings :

|:|: : . : = master(all the way to the left)

: : : . … = slave (all the way to the top right)

: |:| : . : = Cable Select (2nd 1 to the left)

M=MASTER
S=SLAVE
CS=CABLE SELECT
