How to get German keyboard for English laptop

I have an American laptop, but my son would like to use it, too. But he speaks German and he finds it hard to work with an English keyboard layout. What can I do?

If you have a german windows versions, you can easily change the keyboard's key layout. This should work with an american windows version also, just take a look at our german tip for changing the keyboard layout:

Or got to http://www.computerhilfen.com/tech/switch-americanenglish-keyboard-to-another-language.html for the English verion of the tip.

Applicable for you is probably going to start -> control panel -> regional and language options -> languages -> details and put it there to German.
