To solve annoying Windows errors, you might want to try a Windows Registry Check. In most cases, optimizing the Windows registry will speed up your Windows.
So i recently uninstalled a program I was using for ISO files via a virtual CD/DVD Drive [I can't remember the name of the program] and now I can't seem to get my DVD drive to work. I can insert a CD/DVD and I can hear it reading the disc, however, the auto-start does not kick in and when I try to open the CD/DVD from 'My Computer' it keeps telling me the disc is blank, no matter what disc I try. I have tried DeadMatt's method of deleting the UpperFilter from Regedit, but that has done nothing. I have also tried uninstalling the drive only to find that it has reinstalled after a restart and it still does not like any disc. Any ideas from you guys would be much appreciated. Dane
