what to do with hijackthis logfile now?
To solve annoying Windows errors, you might want to try a Windows Registry Check. In most cases, optimizing the Windows registry will speed up your Windows.
The log file reader is pretty useless. It shows AOL toolbar as a nasty and does not recognize smitfraud. I would stick with people who read these logs the old fashioned way.
I think the HJT loganalyzer is quite a good way to see, which programs can be a threat. Before deleting/doing anything, of course better post in a security board like this...
I think you should just use a more user friendly program when you don't know alot about these things. You can damage your installation if you make the wrong decisions. I do think the logfile checker is a bit of a safety net here. Can't imagine you would want to take a look at everyones logfiles here Tsunami of logfiles coming
Maybe if you have an experienced friend, he can maybe take a look at your logfile? That might be even faster than posting it on a forum.
My recommendation is just, that you check your logfile with that free software and, if there are questions or before deleting/removing anything, you ask about the specified progroms here in the board
