In this wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SATA2) SATA2 is not mentioned, but SATA 1.5 Gbit/s and SATA 3.0 Gbit/s.
computing.net (http://www.computing.net/hardware/wwwboard/forum/33616.html) has "SATA vs SATA2", maybe that helps you?
