I have a brandnew Sony Ericsson mobile and I'm all excited about the mp3 player function. Now I need to know how I can connect it to my notebook... The phone has bluetooth but my notebook hasnt and only my notebook has an infraredinterface... maybe with a cable? which one? Do I need software or does it work just like any other external data carrier device
If there was no cable with the phone, it might be easier to just buy a bluetooth-usb stick for the laptop so you can send data via bluetooth. You normally shouldn't need special software to copy files (music, images, -no spam-...) between laptop and phone - at least not with nokia phones
you can buy a sony erricsson data cable from ebay for pennies, if you in the uk let me no your postal addy and ill send you one, i got about 10, from various upgrades and -no spam- replacments. To put music on the phone its best to use sony's disc to phone software, available for free from there website. simply plug in the phone to a usb port, select data mode on the phones screen, and fire up disc to phone and follow the instructions on screen. easy peasy and cheaper and faster than buying a USBbluetooth dongle.
