bandwidth limits

i am using a cable service that limits the number of peers i can hook up to with Transmission, a bit torrent client, therefore seriously impeding my download speed.

anyone knows anyways that i can get around that?

That's not true. Only illegal downlaods are not allowed, other d/l is legal.
