address FAAEDCAD

Recently my laptop (advent 7255DVD) decided it didnt want to start up anymore with the error message "operating system not found" coming up on the start up.

I put my windows XP disc in however when i try to load windows from discs it comes up with error.

*** stop: 0x0000008E (0x0000005,0xFA69E7E4,0x00000000)

*** setupdd.sys - address FAAEDCAD base at FAAC1000, datestamp 41107c8f

Any idea's to where i go from here?
