I recently down loaded a game called Command and Conquer Tiberian Wars but can't run for lack of file d3dx9_29dll where and how do I correct this problem

Hey Paul, what do you mean with "downloaded"? If you did not legally got the program, we may and can not help you!

But, I'd guess that you are missing the actual directX version from microsoft. Take a look at this download-page and see if the problem still occurs after downloading and installing direct X 9.

Hey there, as nico said, it should be the missing direct X thing. That should be also installed with the setup, normally

But you can here get the missing DLL alone: http://www.m3fe.com/760/
(Best way still to install direct X!)
