Enter Question here: W32/Heuristic-1621!Eldorado

« on: 19.03.08, 05:32:37 »

I did a virus scan and my system is a mess with issues including 6 virus attacks.

Found file E:\Nero 7 ultra\Nero 7\Nero Vision\DVDBlockACC.dll->
(PE_Patch)->(Aspack)->(Aspack), infected with
W32/Heuristic-1621!Eldorado

Should I turn off system restore completely before scanning.
should I restart before either
I can no longer see my DVD drive or CD drive
can I remap these? I can't remember how?
Cannot do a backup to burn files to disc

Thank you

support@f-prot.com states
When you set the heuristic level to full, it will find applications which could be unwanted applications, these are not viruses or infected files. For example, smitfraudfix has a file called reboot.exe which could be used by a virus to restart the computer, if you scan a computer with normal heuristic level and F-Prot does not detect anything, the computer is not infected by any viruses...

Thier latest version is picking up W32/heuristic on some in normal that I was checking on is how I came accross your Post....

I always recommend customers to not use Windows Restore since it allows viruses and then protects them.

As to your possibly infected Nero did you try uninstalling that program running another scan and then reinstalling it?
