Title: When is Windows Vista available for me? Post by: Microman on 11.11.06, 19:30:27 I have a question about windows vista. The business edition is coming soon, but the consumer version comes later. Can i get the business edition as a consumer? Or do i have to wait till the consumer version comes out.
And does anyone know something about prices? Title: Re: When is Windows Vista available for me? Post by: Dr.Nope on 11.11.06, 19:38:27 Vista Home is aviable at January 2007 (Amazon.com). You can also use the Business-Version (rich?).

I have another question though. Is there any significant difference between the home and business version? I have Windows (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-w-Windows.html) XP professional right now, and it has some items windows (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-w-Windows.html) home edition doesn't have, like remote assistance (at least i think home edition doesn't have that). I also understood XP professional is more secure than home edition. Anyone knows if the differences in vista home and business are a bit (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-b-BIT.html) the same? Or do they differ more? Post by: nico on 11.11.06, 20:54:15 According to wikipedia, the Windows (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-w-Windows.html) Vista Business edition is comparable to XP Pro: It also includes the IIS Webserver and a remote desktop.

Title: Re: When is Windows Vista available for me? Post by: Ericzzz on 12.11.06, 16:10:43 It has to do with what you want to do with your computer, (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-c-Computer.html) and preferences (and money ofcourse). Just take a good look at what both versions can do, so you can make a good decision.
What do you actually want to do with your computer? (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-c-Computer.html) Maybe the people on this forum are better able to help you then.
