a bit (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-b-BIT.html) more details pls :)

you have Windows (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-w-Windows.html) installed? Which version? Does that boot? Or do you get the message directly in the beginning?

Try this:  Boot from Windows (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-w-Windows.html) XP-CD, go to recovery console and enter the following:

map
fixmbr [device_name]
fixboot [device:]

The parameter device_name means the drive where you want to repair the boot sector. The command map shows you the possible devices.

Sample:

fixmbr \Device\HardDisk0
fixboot c:

Good luck for your next boot attempt.

If it didn't work so fetch Knoppix (www.knoppix.de) and burn the image on CD/DVD to save your data.
