Title: how to connect my cell phone to the computer Post by: tonia on 05.06.07, 14:39:18 I have a brandnew Sony Ericsson mobile and I'm all excited about the mp3 (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-m-MP3.html) player function. Now I need to know how I can connect it to my notebook... (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-n-Notebook.html) The phone has bluetooth (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-b-Bluetooth.html) but my notebook (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-n-Notebook.html) hasnt and only my notebook (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-n-Notebook.html) has an infrared (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-i-Infrared.html) interface... (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-i-Interface.html) maybe with a cable? which one? Do I need software (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-s-Software.html) or does it work just like any other external data carrier device ???

(http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-b-Bluetooth.html) You normally shouldn't need special software (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-s-Software.html) to copy files (music, images, -no spam-...) between laptop (http://www.computerhilfen.de/fachbegriffe-l-Laptop.html) and phone - at least not with nokia phones :)

you can buy a sony erricsson data cable from ebay for pennies, if you in the uk let me no your postal addy and ill send you one, i got about 10, from various upgrades and -no spam- replacments. To put music on the phone its best to use sony's disc to phone software, (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-s-Software.html) available for free from there website. simply plug in the phone to a usb (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-u-USB.html) port, select data mode on the phones screen, and fire up disc to phone and follow the instructions on screen. easy peasy and cheaper and faster than buying a USB (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-u-USB.html) bluetooth (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-b-Bluetooth.html) dongle. Matt
