Title: Real Problem with my Games Post by: His0ka on 12.08.07, 22:12:10 hello there,
ive got a real big problem with my PC...like when i play the game "prey" after a while(it differs) i get strange graficglitches like this here: (http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/3710/fehlerbf7.th.png) (http://img113.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fehlerbf7.png) it gets even worse, the textures grow up like needles, everything is blinking and a lot of these black and other color points are showing up, i get the same thing when i play "titan quest" but games with not so much power like "kotor 2" or "world of warcraft" are playing well... no comes the funny thing to climax all that shit: first i thought its my VGA (geforce 7800 gs (AGP)) (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-a-AGP.html) so i gave it back for a new one...then after a while again this shit...so its now my 3rd model of this graphiccard, so it can,t be my VGA even so my RAM, (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-r-RAM.html) its new too and the problem was still with the older one...so the last thing whats left is my mainboard (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-m-Mainboard.html) or my processorunit. thats what i wanted to ask, is this possible that maybe my mainboard (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-m-Mainboard.html) is .....ed up or my processor? sorry for my bad school english iam from germany and i hope i get an answer:) here are some stats of my pc: system: windows (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-w-Windows.html) xp processor:AMD athlon (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-a-Athlon.html) 64 x2 dual core processor (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-p-Processor.html) 3800+ 2,01GHz RAM: 1,00GB RAM VGA: geforce 7800 gs 265 512 mainboard: AM2NF3-VSA/A/ASR greetz His0ka Title: Re: Real Problem with my Games Post by: matt77303 on 19.08.07, 21:29:26 hello, is your pc overclocked? I would check your system temps, if you have nvidia motherboard (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-m-Motherboard.html) you could use the ntune system monitor to check system, cpu (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-c-CPU.html) and graphics temps, also make sure you are using the most up to date video card and chipset drivers.

You could test it with open pc a cooled with a ventilator (not too fast and not to close!!!).
