(http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-d-Driver.html) You also need to imstall the drivers of the mainboard (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-m-Mainboard.html) (chip set driver, (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-d-Driver.html) maybe also usb, (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-u-USB.html) lan) (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-l-LAN.html) for really good working. At the moment, your system will work with the non optimal drivers from Microsoft.

This has all the drivers that you'll need. Or did you install Windows (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-w-Windows.html) XP, even if Vista was previously installed?
Then you'll need new drivers for Win XP, you'll most likely find them on the laptop (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-l-Laptop.html) manufacturer's website. If not, give a hint what brand / model it is :)
