Computerhilfen.com: Epson D92 status monitor

I wonder if anyone can help.

I replaced my printer with an Epson D92 and installed it exactly according to the instructions. The status monitor worked for the first few times and then disapeared.

I have re-installed the software, (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-s-Software.html) done a system restore to a date when the monitor was working and am using Epson ink but nothing !!

The really odd thing is it did work briefly.

I have looked on the web for an answer but although there seems to be many problems with the status monitor I cant find an answer.  Is there a solution ??

What exactly is the problem? Did the printer stop to print? Does the status monitor shows weird information? What is the status monitor good for, anyways?
