Title: address FAAEDCAD Post by: Browny on 14.02.08, 13:34:00 Recently my laptop (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-l-Laptop.html) (advent 7255DVD) decided it didnt want to start up anymore with the error message "operating system not found" coming up on the start up.
I put my windows (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-w-Windows.html) XP disc in however when i try to load windows (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-w-Windows.html) from discs it comes up with error. *** stop: 0x0000008E (0x0000005,0xFA69E7E4,0x00000000) *** setupdd.sys - address FAAEDCAD base at FAAC1000, datestamp 41107c8f Any idea's to where i go from here? http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/laptop/7255.htm It sounds quite old & slow to run Windows (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-w-Windows.html) XP... Which OS was shipped with it originally? I'd think maybe Win98?
