Title: Enter Question here: Audio driver for Intel 845G board?? Post by: Ilphilo on 08.04.10, 21:34:44 System. Win XP pro on intel Celeron 2Ghz, 512MB RAm (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-r-RAM.html) all on old FSC board 845G.
Have tried Intel Cadenza sound system- it 'cannot find driver'. I thought it WAS the driver (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-d-Driver.html) but it isnt. Sound chip works fine with open SUSE linux (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-l-Linux.html) 11:2 and with Ubunto karmic. So hardware (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-h-Hardware.html) is OK. I still need Windows (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-w-Windows.html) to play DVDs. I get a nice picture but NO SOUND. Has anyone info on correct audio driver (http://www.computerhilfen.com/explanation-d-Driver.html) for - i think; audio chip Intel AD 1981B. the intel site does not give anything but Cadenza. Or I am looking in the wrong place.
