iTunes Foreign Exchange makes bands swap their tunes

29th Mai 07 at 12:56 pm. Trackback

The american rockers +44 have swapped their tunes with the german band Wir sind Helden. This is the beginning of a musical exchange, initiated by Apple’s iTunes. Wir sind Helden (We are Heroes) from Germany’s capital Berlin recorded a german version of +44′s song «When Your Heart Stops Beating». In return, +44 converted their song «Guten Tag» (Good Day) into an english version. Both new songs have been released in the iTunes shop today.

The Foreign Exchange idea intends mutual covering of songs in different languages from different countries in order to make these bands more familiar worldwide. More bands are expected to sign up for the project. (vck)
