Microsoft published a new version of it’s free e-mail client Hotmail which is now called Windows Live Hotmail. According to information from Microsoft, the service will work faster and more securely. In comparison to the old version, the new post box doubled the amount of storage space from 1 GB to now 2 GB. The new Windows Live Hotmail is now also available from cell phones or PDA’s as a special optimized mobile version.

Users who already own a Hotmail account are invited to log in and grade up to Windows Live Hotmail. The e-mail address remains the same. The new version offers a whole new user interface. The new design looks a bit like Outlook Express. This way, handling is supposed to be easier.
