While the first model of Microsofts Zune player only hit american market, itwire reports that a new version could be launched for the european market for christmas 2007.

According to itwire, Microsoft Marketing Director Jason Reindorp told that they already conducted focus groups to see what needs to be modified for european customers. Selling the Zune also in europe seems as an important step, as it has according to Reindorp a 10.2% market share at the 30GB mp3 players. But according to Apple CEO Steve Jobs, the Zune player has only little impact on the iPod’s sales.
