Adobe and Photobucket offer web-based video editing

A free new web-based video tool from Adobe allows combining and remixing images, videos, text and music. This month it is available for pro users of the photo and video sharing community www.photobucket.com. All photobucket users will prospectively be able to remix media content in March.
The functionality of the tool is very basic in order to make it convenient for people who are not used to professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere. photobucket and Adobe intend to make a contribution to web 2.0 by allowing users to rearrange content in a creative way without having to install software or download all kind of content.
Users can work with their own content or use over 2.5 billion publicly images and videos from photobucket. Once the video is complete, it can be shared within the community or be shown to friends and family only. The only condition for the use of the web-based video editing tool is Adobe Flash Player 9 as it is a Flash-based application
Photobucket is the third largest video community and is used by over 35 million people to create, manage and share personal digital media. According to photobucket, 35.000 videos are uploaded every day. Adobe intends to license the application also to other online-video-plattforms. (vck)
