Extra level of safety with PayPal Security Key

The online auction and shopping website eBay and the associated money transfer service PayPal are currently testing a new security key. The accounts will be protected in a better way through the use of an individual code. The small keychain device is equipped with a display, generating a six-digit security code every 30 seconds. This code is entered when logging into an eBay or PayPal account.

Users have the choice to use the PayPal Security Key or not. Everyone with a PayPal account is able to order the key. There is no monthly fee or recurring charge, but a one-time fee of $5.00 including shipping and handling. (vck)
