Halo 3 exceeds expectations: 300 million dollar in first week

Halo 3 has broken the recordsales of it’s predecessor Halo 2: the first week has brought Microsoft 300 million dollars. It became clear already that this game was going to be a hit, after already 170 million dollars was made within 24 hours after the game was launched, but also the sales of Xbox 360 consoles was rising this week. The console was sold two times as much as normal this week.
