Thunderbird 2 Beta

The mozilla team now released the beta of the thunderbird 2 email-client which includes in the new version many interesting new features including tags to categorize mails and short popup summaries.

Also the speed shall be increased in the final version, not only for displaying the emails and the folders, but also for searching stored messages. Searching in messages now works like the “in website search” in the firefox-browser:

Thunderbird searches for the word while typing and highlights the first found appearance. As in Firefox, with “next” and “previous” buttons the right part can be found fast.
